Here is some motivation and inspiration for my journey to come...
The biggest obstacles in your life are the barriers your mind creates. Worrying will never change the outcome. When you can no longer think of a reason to continue, you must think of a reason to start over. And do not let where you start, define where you will end up; only your actions and willpower determine that.
Sometimes to get where you want to go, you have to do what you are afraid to do. You must be brave and push forward. Miracles occur when you give as much attention and energy to your dreams as you do to your fears.
You must find the place inside yourself where nothing is impossible. It starts with a dream. Add confidence, and it becomes abelief. Add commitment, and it becomes a goal in sight. Add action, and it becomes a part of your life. Add determination and time, and your dream comes true.
You don’t have to see the whole staircase, you just have to take the first step. Taking this first step is always the hardest. But then each subsequent step gets easier and easier. And with each step you get closer and closer to what you seek. Until eventually, what had once been invisible, starts to become visible, and what had once felt unattainable, becomes a reality.
No matter how difficult things were yesterday, you are armed with the ability and choice to do better today. A complete turnaround may not happen instantly, but don’t let that deter you from knowing that it will someday. The struggle you’re in today is developing the strength you need for tomorrow. Learn from it and don’t give up.

Excited and Scared!
So my friend Tracy has got me turned on to the "Paleo Lifestyle." She is this total bad ass chick who does everything from raising 2 kids to softball to crossfit to American Ninja!!! And has an amazing body! She swears by this diet and thinks it could really help me.So I think Im going to give this a try!
I really need to lose weight, Im thinking 20-30 pounds, so why not, right?!? The basic principle is eat like a Caveman. If you can kill it or grow it you can eat it! No sugar, no grains, no processed foods, and no dairy. Thats a lot of NO's! ugh So I have a 30 day diet plan, but I think I might start small, so I dont get too overwhelmed and do 2 weeks first. But I really want to complete the whole 30 day challenge! I plan on starting July 1st!
I figured this blogging thing will help me stay on track. Ill blog about my meals, my exercising, weight loss and everything in between. And if anyone else wants to join in the fun, let me know and you can start blogging here too!
Well wish me luck as a tie a knot on my hanging tree! :)

Welcome!
Welcome to the Hanging Tree....my first blog.
I got the name from one of my favorite book series, The House of Night. The Hanging Tree is a hawthorn tree and a rowan tree grown together.
"Like a beacon drawing travelers, was what looked like two trees twisted together to form one. From the branches of the strange joining, strips of brightly colored cloth were tied to it in a strange yet complementary contrast to its ancient gnarled limbs.
...the tree is a tree of wishes. Each knot--each strip of cloth--represents a wish. Sometimes it's a parents wishin' for the well-being of a wain. Sometimes its friends remembering those passed on to the next life. But most often it's wishes of lovers, tying their lives together and wishin' for happiness."
So here is my blog, a spot to tie a knot and hope my wishes come true.
